     In every student's life, the 12th standard is the landmark for their path of dreams. The doubt behind for every student is "What Next..?", After appearing for 12th exam, the career option of students always depends upon their step to choosing. After the 12th standard, there are lots of career options a student may choose. Among all of these, ENGINEERING is a well-known pavement, which students choose as their next step for the future carrier.

     By attending various engineering entrance tests, a student may take admission into various degree courses like engineering, B.Tech, B.Sc(Agriculture and Horticulture), B.V.Sc, A.H, B. Pharmacy and Pharma D, etc.;

     Now we are going to discuss the common state level entrance exam in the state of Andhra Pradesh that all about the AP EAMCET examination.
Before we should have to grab some related information about AP EAMCET.

ABOUT THE EXAM:

AP EAMCET is a well known Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test, taken under the state education board of Andhra Pradesh.

At present, the examination is conducted by the JNTU (Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University). Students have to endeavor their entrance exam and the result is declared after two weeks of the examination. The seat allotment is done by the counseling process taken by optional colleges in various medical and engineering branches according to their merit list.

This entrance examination is based on the 'Multiple Choice Question' (MCQ) pattern. The merit list of the examination is based on the 25% marks of the higher secondary examination and the rest 75% is based on the marks of the AP EAMCET examination. Every year, around six lakhs students tackle themselves for the AP EAMCET examination.


APPLICATION FORM (HOW TO APPLY):

The AP EAMCET examination application form will be accessed in the second week of February through online mode. Candidates have to apply for the examination through the online mode only. Before the candidates are going to apply for the examination, they should take all the details of their documents in hand like all the previous certificates, proof of age, birth and the proof of identity.



Once the online mode application starts, candidates have to apply for the examination by gathering all the needed data. They need to pay about Rs. 1200 INR for OC/BC category and for SC/ST category Rs. 600 INR as the application fees. There will also an additional transaction charge upon the application fee for the mode of transaction. The candidates who are going to apply for both medical and engineering examinations need to pay the double of the exam fee. They can make the payment through their net banking/debit or credit cards with the required additional fees.

The candidates can also apply for the examination after the last date with a late fine. After filling up the online application form, candidates have to take an additional print out of their application form for access to future references.


IMPORTANT DATES:

The important dates of AP EAMCET examination 2020:
  • Notification of the examination - 2nd week, February 2020.
  • Submission of form without late fine - 3rd week, March 2020.
  • Submission of form with a late fine of 500 - 4th week, March 2020.
  • Mock Test for the examination - March 2020
  • Correction of Application forms - 4th week, March 2020.
  • Submission of form with a late fine of 1000 - 1st week, April 2020.
  • Submission of form with a late fine of 5000 - 2nd week, April 2020.
  • Submission of form with a late fine of 10000 - 3rd week, April 2020.
  • Downloading of Admit card starts - 3rd week, April 2020.
  • Date of examination - 4th week, April 2020.
  • Preliminary key declaration - 4th week, April 2020.
  • Declaration of Result with Rank list - 1st week, May 2020.
  • Release of Rank card - 2nd week, May 2020.
  • Counseling period starts - 2nd week, June 2020.
The candidates should follow the dates carefully. However, the above-given dates may change due to unavoidable circumstances.


ELIGIBILITY:

Before going to fill up the application form, candidates have to check their eligibility criteria.
AP EAMCET eligibility criteria:

  • The applicant must be a citizen of the Indian Constitution.
  • The applicant must be the holder of Identity proof with the address of Indian Nationality.
  • In some cases, there are no age limitations.
  • If the candidate is a 17 years old person, then there will be an age limitation condition.
  • The applicant has to complete a minimum of 16 years before 31st December, to access any U.G programs.
  • The applicant who was appearing to this entrance exam must be under 22 years.
  • The applicant has to complete their +12 standard with Mathematics, chemistry, physics and biology subjects in respect of any educational board.
  • The candidates who had completed their diploma in Pharmacy can apply to the course Pharma D.
SYLLABUS:
This common entrance examination has its particular syllabus and they are in the following.

There will be four main subjects, from where all the questions will arrive. And the subjects are Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, in which candidates have to prepare themselves for appearing to the examination.
  • Mathematics: Algebra, Vector Algebra, Trigonometry and also contains Probability, Coordinate Geometry, and Calculus.
  • Physics: Physical world, Electrical Charges and Fields, Work Energy Power, Mechanical Properties of Fluids, Thermodynamics, Current Electricity, Laws of Motion, Motion in a Straight Line, Waves, Alternating Current, System of Particular & Rotational Motion, Electromagnetic Induction, Ray Optics & Optical Instructions, Motion in a Plane, Units & Measurements, Wave Optics, Oscillations, Gravitation, Semiconductor Electronics, Thermal Properties of Matter, Electrostatic Potential and Capacitance and Nuclei.
  • Chemistry: Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure, Environmental Chemistry, P-Block Elements, Atomic Structure, Thermodynamics, States of Matter: Gases and Liquids, Hydrogen & it's Compounds, Chemical Equilibrium and Acid-Bases, The S-Block Elements, Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Properties, Solid State, P-Block Elements Group 13(boron family), Organic Chemistry: Some Basic Principles and Techniques, D and F Block Elements, P-Block Elements Group 14(Carbon Family), Surface Chemistry and Solutions.


QUESTION PAPER AND CUT OFF MARKS:

Let this article makes a pure explanation about this examination.
The examination paper consists of 160 questions. You can choose your language for the required question paper formate either English or Telugu. One may translate the questions from Telugu to Urdu also. The duration of the exam will be three hours. The whole examination will be conducted through online mode only. No negative marking for the wrong answers. All the questions are in the pattern of MCQ(Multiple Choice Question). The question paper consists of three sections. They are consist of forty questions of Physics, forty questions of Chemistry and eighty questions if Mathematics.

When we compared with all competitive examinations, the AP EAMCET examination had also consisted of required cut off marks. The students have must require to get a minimum pass mark to qualify in this examination. Generally, a student has to get a minimum of 25% marks from the total examination marks. When we observed the reserved categories like S.C/S.T/O.B.C. are not applicable to this rule.

At final the rank list is issued by the state government according to marks of each and every candidate. The admissions will also be accessed under their rank list. And the student can choose their colleges with required branches based on their rank list. The chance of getting colleges and subjects depends on this rank list. The best ranker has the preference for a chance to choose first.


TIPS FOR PREPARATION:


There are some strategies that applicant have to follow for success.

  • They can take EAMCET coaching, in various coaching centers. 
  • They can have a preplanned time table for the preparation and have to give equal importance to all subjects. Where each mark is precious for the best rank.
  • The applicant has to be more concerned about the syllabus and exam pattern.
  • They have to follow and practices the previous question papers. 
  • The applicant can also gain more knowledge by attempting the mock tests.
  • Before the exam, the candidates have to revise the total syllabus in all subjects.
