• Gandhi institute of technology and management was established in the year 1980 by M.V.S.S MURTHI (Former Member of Parliament) in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

• It is recognized by UGC- MHRD as a category- 1 Deemed to be University. It was approved by NAAC with A+ grade and also approved by AICTE(ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION).
