1.JNTU Ananthapur has taken a major decision to promote the Engineering students with no credits.
2. As the COVID pandemic means intensifying the JNTUA means decided to promote the students without credits.
3.JNTUA has reported to the Higher Education Council regarding the exams. As soon as the approval arrives from the state government, the university is going to cancel the credits system.
4. In Ananthapur, 1.20 lakh students continue obtaining Engineering from JNTUA in various associated colleges in Kurnool, YSR Kadapa, Chittor, and Potti Sriramulu Nellore District.

1.JNTUA Students Will be promote without credits.
2. The JNTUA has earlier scheduled the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th years 2nd semester regular, 4th year 1st-semester supplementary examinations in May, June months
3.while due to the COVID emergency. The government has declared the lockdown.
4. Due to lock down the university is unable to conduct either classes or examinations.
5. Due to this situation, the university decided to cancel the examinations
6.JNTUA has approached the Higher Education Council with a decision to promote the students without credits.
7. The university has also mentioned that the examinations rescheduled after the complete lifting of Lockdown
8. If the higher education council grants approval the university will promote the students without credits
9. Overall 176 credits allotted for 4 years of B.Tech

The credits are Classified:

1.42 credits 1st year 2 semesters, 45 credits for 1,2 semester in 2nd year, 45 credits for 1,2 semesters in 3rd year
2. 44 credits for 1,2 semesters in the 4th year
3.1st-year students directly promoted to 2nd year. While students have to score 25 credits out of 64 credits before entering into 3rd year.
4. Otherwise, students detained in the 3rd year 1st semester
5. Likewise, students who are entering into the 4th year 1st semester have to score at least 43 credits out of 86 credits
Students promoted to next year only if they secure the required credits otherwise the students detained
6.While due to the lockdown students promoted to the next classes without considering the credit score
7.Prof. S.Srinivas Kumar, VC, JNTUA has stated that the university is following the credit-based promotion system as of now.
8.While due to the COVID Pandemic the university has taken the decision to promote the students without considering the previous credits scored by them
And also JNTUA planning to conduct 4th-year 2nd-semester examinations in the month of July if the lockdown is totally lifted.
