  • Finally, the Government took a decision on the JEE Main Advanced Examination date. It is from September 13, 2020.

  • Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, NEET Examinations are being postponed too many days. 
  • HRD (Human Resource Development) Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank shared this decision through a tweet that examination will be conducted on September  13, 2020.
  • According to the committee review, This decision is taken because of increasing COVID-19 Cases in Major Cities all over India. For the safety of students, examinations are postponed to September.

  • Earlier, NEET Entrance Exam,2020 was scheduled to be held on 26th July, but due to an increase in COVID-19 Cases, the committee took the decision to postpone the entrance examination.
  • This NEET Entrance examination is conducted for students who are willing to study MBBS/BDS.

Uses of NEET:

1. 15% All India Quota seats
2. 85% State Quota seats
3. All seats from deemed universities
4. 100% seats from central universities
5. State/Management/NRI quota seats offered in private medical or dental colleges
